Welcome to the third version of “The Fan Page Network” or thepagepage.net. This domain was originally set up to allow me to run several “fan sites” without having to buy new domains every-time or use the lame free sites out there. The next goal of the domain was to add a directory of worthy fan sites, but that became very time consuming and was never organized properly. So here is the third attempt, and this time I came prepared. Most of the fan pages hosted here will use Wordpress and other CMS solutions, so we can concentrate on content and not be overwhelmed with infrastructure. The directory will be powered by MediaWiki which is the same software being used by Wikipedia. This will ensure the database will be easy to use and maintain. We will also be interacting with our visitors using all the latest social networking sites including Twitter and Pownce.
